If I could give my child but one thing it would be
the benefits of an early second language education.
Why?
- Children are able to learn a second language with very little effort as they absorb through play, song and natural curiosity.
- There is a neurological advantage in children under age 12 when it comes to learning language skills.
- Improvement in overall academic performance. According to the College Entrance Examination Board children who study a second language score higher on verbal standardized tests. Math and complex problem solving skills are also improved.
